Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the NewBe Lifting app (iOS and Android), the “NewBe举重” WeChat Mini Program, and this website (together, the “NewBe Services”), operated by Changzhou Yuanzhili Sports Culture Co., Ltd. (“we”). We process your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and other applicable laws. Please read this policy carefully before using the NewBe Services.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your phone number, used for SMS-code login and to link your account across the app and the Mini Program.
• WeChat login information (Mini Program only): the user identifier WeChat assigns to the Mini Program (openid), and the WeChat nickname, profile photo, and WeChat-linked phone number you choose to share. Profile photos you upload are stored in our cloud storage.
• Camp registration information: the real name, nickname, phone number, gender, age, body weight, and lifting results you enter when registering, used to group participants and plan coaching.
• WeChat Store order information: when you order from our WeChat Store, we receive the order details from WeChat Store, including the items, payment status, your WeChat identifier (unionid), and the phone number in your delivery details, to confirm the purchase and unlock the matching courses or benefits. For physical goods, the recipient’s name, phone number, and address are used to ship your order.
• Training data: training plans, training logs (sets, weights, reps, duration, notes), and personal records.
• Body data: weight, body fat, and similar information you choose to enter. This may be sensitive personal information; we only collect it when you enter it, and you can change or delete it at any time.
• Course and order information: unlocked courses, learning progress, and orders created when you enroll or buy in the Mini Program.
• Device and log information: device model, OS version, app version, and error logs needed to keep the service secure and fix problems.

2. Camera and photos

Technique checks, bar-speed tracking, and training videos use the camera. Video is analysed on your phone and never uploaded to our servers. We only ask for photo-library access when you save a training video. You can turn these permissions off at any time in system settings.

3. How we use information

• To provide login, training logs, training plans, courses, and related services, and to arrange coaching, camps, and in-person sessions;
• To keep one set of data in sync when you log in to the app and the Mini Program with the same phone number;
• To send login codes and respond to your questions and feedback;
• To keep accounts and services secure and to find and fix problems.

We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising and we do not sell it to any third party.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share what is necessary in these cases:

• Your coach: once you buy online coaching or enroll in a camp or in-person session and are linked to a coach, the coach working with you can see your nickname, registration information, training logs, personal records, and body data in order to plan your training and review your technique.
• Tencent Cloud (CloudBase, Cloud Storage, SMS, Video on Demand): we engage it for data storage, sending login codes, and course video playback.
• WeChat (Mini Program and WeChat Store): for WeChat login and for processing payments and orders in the Mini Program and WeChat Store.
• Delivery companies (physical goods only): the recipient’s name, phone number, and address needed for delivery.

We require these parties to protect your information in line with this policy and applicable law.

5. Where and how long we store data

Your personal information is stored in the People’s Republic of China. We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information unless the law requires otherwise.

6. Your rights

You can access, copy, correct, or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent you have given.

Account deletion: in the app, go to Me → Account & Security → Delete Account. Deletion also applies to the same account in the Mini Program. Log in again within 30 days to cancel; after that, we delete your profile, training logs, and records.

7. Children

If you are under 14, please use the NewBe Services only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian.

8. Security

We protect your personal information with measures such as encrypted transmission and access control. If a personal information security incident occurs, we will notify you and take remedial action as required by law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will tell you about material changes through notices in the app or the Mini Program.
